Some facts about Podgorica:
The City Podgorica is an administrative, univer-sity, cultural and economic center of Montenegro. It is a scene of numerous cultural, theatrical, film and sportive events and manifestationsof international type.
It is situated on the surface of 1.492 square kilometers of the whole territory, with co-ordinates 42°26'of north latitude and 49°16' eastfrom Greenwich,at the altitude of 44.5, in the valleys of five rivers Zeta, Morača, Cijevna, Ribnica and Sitnica, surrounded by three lakes: Skadarsko, Bukumirsko and Rikavačko.

It is defined by good position and traffic co-nnection with south and hinterland. Distance from the Adriatic Sea (60 kilometers) and Skadar lake 19 kilometers.
Extremely good position and relativelysmall distance from airports: Airport Podgorica (12 km), Airport Tivat (81km) and Airport Ćilipi(Dubrovnik-153 km). Along with conveniences of Medi-terranean climate, a big number of sunny days duringyear while relatively small amount of precipitation is present. Podgorica is align-ed with the warmest regions of the Europe.
