Do we say “ on the door” or “ at the door”, or it depends on the situation? Do we say “ in the photograph” or “ on the photograph”? Do we say “ at Sue's house” or “ in Sue's house”?
When we talk about prepositions of place, the story is certainly never-ending. But the mind map speaks volumes, therefore, don't hesitate to print it, stick it on a visible place in your room and just take a look at it from time to time! You will memorize everything without making any effort! So, enjoy the map!
I would also like to add that I used the examples from Raymond Murphy's English Grammar in Use, it is brilliant!
